Tax Settlement Progress Tracker
Each year, the County receives numerous questions and inquiries from local officials regarding their tax settlements. With all the townships, villages, cities, school districts, special districts, libraries, etc dependent on these funds for their vital operations and services, it’s no wonder that so many are asking the question the day after due date: “Where’s our money?”
And that’s a great question! The Athens County Treasurer’s Office has made a real time page that will update and track the process publicly. Below, the steps of the process are laid out in generalized form and will update as the County moves through them. It will always reflect the date of the most recent update.
